Housing costs are often a significant expense in the budget of many families with växelvis boende-arrangements. Here you will learn more about housing allowances and how they can support you and your family.
A housing allowance is a special support for families with children and youth households aged 18-28 years. The application is made to the Social Insurance Agency (Försäkringskassan), and the calculation takes into account your accommodation (size and cost), your income, and your family situation. You can receive a housing allowance regardless of whether you rent your accommodation first or second-hand, or if you own your home with a slightly lower income. A prerequisite is that the child lives wholly or partly with you.
